The network graphical layout of the whole brain human functional connectome, based on the covariance of probability of local functional homogeneity estimated with 275 resting state FMRI datasets obtained from healthy controls at FCP. The full brain connectome graph contains 16,659 nodes (i.e., vertices on the cortical mantle or surface) and 6,881,652 connections (i.e., across-subject covariance on the probability of local functional homogeneity between pairs of nodes). The visualization was carried out with Gephi using a fast force-directed layout algorithm - OpenOrd - to emphasize different communities in the functional connectome, i.e., its hierarchy, yielding 5 large-scale functional communities. The 5 communities are depicted in different colors, generating mixed colors for lines connecting two nodes from their corresponding communities.
